Blue Vision Design Inc. has been providing professional drafting & design services since 2015 in the Okanagan and across British Columbia and Western Canada.

As registered building designers through Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC) and British Columbia Association of Building Designers (BCABD) and a member of Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA), we provide professional drafting, design and consulting services.
As registered Energy Advisors through Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), we provide building energy modelling, energy consulting, Stepcode compliance, EnerGuide ratings, blower door air tightness testing & various certifications for your home. We also provide knowledge & resources on the importance of energy efficiency and possible rebates available for your new home or home improvement.

Principal, Building Technologist
& Energy Advisor
Brad graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 2012 with a Diploma in Architectural and Engineering Technology. After working in Calgary at a structural engineering firm, he moved to Kelowna and worked as a Structural Technologist until 2016.
He established Blue Vision Design in 2015 with a goal to provide more energy efficient and sustainable housing solutions to the housing industry and has been working towards that goal ever since. With more than 10 years of drafting and design experience and a passion for sustainable design and lifestyle, the goal is to provide professional drafting and design services and construction consulting, while offering sustainable alternatives and technology to standard construction practices.

Devin Smithies
Credentials
Devin Smithies graduated from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) with a diploma in Architectural & Engineering Technology in 2018. He has been a building designer at Blue Vision Design Inc since he graduated, and he continues his education and experience in the building design and building energy discipline. Prior to graduating from TRU, he gained professional experience through summer jobs on construction sites and working at an Okanagan based architecture firm.
His designs often take inspiration from nature or his travel & living aboard. This includes a passion for sustainable design. Devin’s designs often focus on incorporating a seamless transition between exterior and interior spaces and bringing nature into the home. Devin also specialized in creating high-quality, computer-generated, renders of our building designs.
Devin is an outdoor enthusiast, with personal hobbies including skiing, mountain biking, traveling, and scuba diving. His passion for nature, sustainability, and the pursuit of reducing our carbon footprint make him an exceptional member of our team here at Blue Vision Design Inc.
